Heavy Metal at the Summer House

In an attempt to improve my life quality I decided to try to finish an album without overthinking it and practice “letting go when it’s good enough” (which is something I have struggled with in the past decade).

The result is “Heavy Metal at the Summer House” which I started working on 2 weeks ago, set to release any day now.

It’s inspired by my childhood dream of becoming a guitar player, playing my acoustic guitar on the lawn of my grandparents summer house imagening it to be a huge stage. The album cover is a picture taken during one of those moments when I was 5 years old.

The album is completely instrumental and a tribute to the guitar players that have inspired me through the years.

I was fortunate to have my band mate and friend Skúli Gíslason play drums on two of those songs.

Tracklist:

  1. The Ace
  2. Heavy Metal at the Summer House
  3. Untethered
  4. Stream of Peace
  5. A Story from ‘91
  6. Black Cats and Witches *
  7. Hrafninn
  8. Higher Self *

*Drums by Skúli Gíslason
